Phishing Attack

We want to make our clients, contacts, and the community aware of a phishing scam currently circulating in which someone is fraudulently using the Fraser Law Firm, P.C. name, logo, and/or contact information to deceive people.

If you’ve received an email, text message, phone call, or social media message claiming to be from our firm — particularly anything asking you to send money, provide personal or financial information, click on suspicious links, or pay a fee in connection with a legal matter — please do not respond or provide any information. This communication did not come from us.

What We’re Doing About It

We take this matter seriously and are actively working with law enforcement and the appropriate authorities to investigate and address this fraudulent activity. We have reported the impersonation and are cooperating fully with any investigation into the matter.

Unfortunately, scammers who impersonate businesses and law firms are increasingly common, and despite our best efforts, there is no way for us to completely prevent bad actors from falsely claiming to represent our firm. Phishing and impersonation scams like this one are widespread across many industries, and law firms are increasingly common targets because of the trust associated with legal professionals.

How to Protect Yourself

To make sure you’re actually communicating with Fraser Law Firm, P.C., we urge you to only contact us through the official channels listed on our website: www.fraserlawpc.com. This includes our published phone number, our official contact form, and our verified social media pages linked directly from our site.

If you receive a message claiming to be from our firm through any other phone number, email address, or platform, please treat it with caution. We will never ask you to make urgent payments via wire transfer, gift card, or cryptocurrency, and we will never pressure you to act immediately without giving you the opportunity to verify our identity.

A few simple habits can help protect you from scams like this one:

  • Verify before you trust. If you receive an unexpected message, call our office directly using the number listed on our website to confirm it’s legitimate.
  • Be wary of urgency. Scammers often create a false sense of urgency to pressure you into acting before you’ve had time to think it through.
  • Don’t click unfamiliar links. If a message contains a link you weren’t expecting, go directly to our website instead of clicking through.
  • Watch for small discrepancies. Slightly altered email addresses, phone numbers, or website URLs are common red flags of impersonation.

If You Believe You’ve Been Targeted

If you’ve received a suspicious communication claiming to be from Fraser Law Firm, P.C., or if you believe you may have already shared information with a scammer impersonating our firm, please contact us directly through our website so we can assist you and, if appropriate, report the incident.

We understand how unsettling it can be to encounter a scam like this, especially one that misuses the name of a firm you trust. Protecting our clients and our community remains our top priority, and we will continue to take all appropriate steps to address this issue.

Thank you for your understanding and vigilance.
